Heute gibt es dort eine Gedenkst\u00e4tte. Das war von vornherein nicht mein Ziel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Auf meinem Weg nach Polen, wollte ich nochmal einen Stopp einlegen und hab mir die Karte angeschaut und bin \u00fcber Bautzen gestolpert und die dortige Burg, die Ortenburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Schon bei der Abfahrt von der Autobahn, Bautzen liegt sehr nah an der A4, sehe ich die Stadtmauer und die alten Geb\u00e4ude rund um die Burg. Von dem Ausgang zum Hauptplatz von Bautzen mit der Touri-Info sind es keine 200 Meter. In der Touri-Info findet man neben Bautzener Senf Variationen und Postkarten, auch einen Lageplan mit zwei eingezeichneten Stadtrundg\u00e4ngen. Einen entlang der Stadtmauer, hinterlegt mit rund einer Stunde Marschzeit und einen etwas davon entfernt mit zwei Stunden angegeben. Da ich ohnehin immer etwas l\u00e4nger brauche, weil ich die Infotafeln entlang des Weges auch lese und immer Bilder mache und heute ja noch nach Polen will, entscheide ich mich mit dem k\u00fcrzeren Weg anzufangen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\" src=\"https:\/\/genusstour50plus.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Marktplatz-Kamera.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-776\" style=\"width:840px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/genusstour50plus.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Marktplatz-Kamera.jpg 700w, https:\/\/genusstour50plus.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Marktplatz-Kamera-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Aus der Info raus an der Kirche vorbei und schon ist man zwischen den alten H\u00e4usern. Bautzen ist eine alte Stadt, die das Gl\u00fcck hatte, nie wirklich zerst\u00f6rt worden zu sein. Die Urspr\u00fcnge der Ortenburg wurden vermutlich schon 958 erbaut. Die Geb\u00e4ude, durch die ich schlendere, sind sp\u00e4tes Mittelalter, hervorragend saniert. Bald komme ich an ein pr\u00e4chtig gestaltetes Geb\u00e4ude, dem Eingangsportal zum Domstift St. Peter aus dem Jahr 1755. Hier findet sich auch das Sorbenmuseum. Die Sorben sind eine anerkannte Minderheit aus dem Slawischen Raum mit eigener Sprache. Die Schilder in Bautzen sind alle neben deutsch, auch in Sorbisch geschrieben. Der Blick auf die andere Seite der Stadt und die Spree, die hier durchflie\u00dft, sind trotz des lala Wetters sch\u00f6n und lassen vermuten, wie sch\u00f6n es hier sein kann, wenn mal die Sonne durchkommt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wieder durch einen Torbogen und schon steht man vor dem Wasserturm, einer der j\u00fcngsten T\u00fcrme der Stadt, und f\u00fcr genau das gedacht, was der Name vermuten l\u00e4sst, die Wasserversorgung. Bereits im 16. Jhd. Wurde hier der Wasserbedarf der wachsenden Stadt aus der unterhalb liegenden Spree mit Sch\u00f6pfwerken gesichert. Gegen\u00fcber von dem Turm ist ein Kr\u00e4utergarten angelegt. Rudolph Buchheim, ein der ersten experimentellen Pharmakologen, ist ein Sohn dieser Stadt. Er hat sich schon fr\u00fch f\u00fcr die chemischen Inhaltsstoffe auch der Pflanzen interessiert und wie sie jeweils wirken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex Von dieser Br\u00fccke hat man einen sch\u00f6nen Blick auf die Stadt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zur\u00fcck geht es jetzt wieder Richtung Auto, durch die Shopping Mall noch etwas essen und weiter geht\u2019s in Richtung Osten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bautzen hat mich sehr an Rothenburg o.d.T. erinnert, nur sehr viel weniger voll. Und da Montag war, waren alle Museen geschlossen. Hier komme ich mit Sicherheit mal wieder vorbei, mit mehr Zeit. Als Unterkunft ist mir direkt in der Schlossstra\u00dfe auch gleich was ins Auge gefallen.
